特斯拉“全自动辅助驾驶”（FSD）日前才宣布在台湾送审，不料美国竟传出致命自动驾驶意外，导致德州一名老妇在家中被撞死。

中央社报导，美国国家公路交通安全管理局（NHTSA）今天表示，正对德州发生的一起致命事故展开调查，一辆启用自动驾驶功能的特斯拉汽车，19日因不明原因冲撞民宅，导致屋内76岁妇人死亡。

报导引述警方说法指出，这辆特斯拉Model 3高速冲向砖造民宅，撞上人在屋内的艾维拉（M. Avila），驾驶向警方辩称，事发当下车辆正处于“启用自驾系统”的状态。

不过特斯拉喊冤，指驾驶当时正以人为控制车辆，“他行经住宅区时踩下油门踏板，使车辆改由人为操控，而非自动驾驶系统控制。事故发生时车速高达每小时73英里（约117公里），且撞击后仍持续踩油门”。

路透社报导，自2016年以来，NHTSA已针对近50起涉及特斯拉车辆的事故展开特别调查，涉事车辆均疑似在事发时启用自动辅助驾驶系统（Autopilot）等先进驾驶辅助系统（ADAS），已知相关事故造成20多人丧命。
